PTMI specialise in Planned Testing, Maintenance, Inspection and Certification of environments both internally and externally where falls from height of both people and objects can occur. We are here to assist you and ensure that you comply with your legal duties regarding a wide range of legislation such as The Working at Height regulations 2005, Health and safety at work act 1974, Construction Design Management (CDM) 2015, LOLER & PUWER 1998.
Falls from height are the biggest causes of workplace fatalities and major injuries. Common causes are falls from both fixed and portable ladders as well as fragile roofs. Work at Height is classified as “If no precautions were in place and any person working above ground/floor level or could fall from an edge, through an opening or fragile surface or could fall from ground level into an opening or hole”.
PTMI will help you to identify any equipment exposed to conditions that may cause it to deteriorate, and result in any dangerous situations, as they should be inspected at suitable intervals appropriate to the environment and use. Since you must carry out an inspection every time something happens that may affect the safety or stability of the equipment, e.g. adverse weather or accidental damage we are available at short notice to conduct such inspections, certification and reporting with minimal fuss.
PTMI are unique in that we are able to offer maintenance and engineering services during inspections, meaning that should we come across issues with structures or equipment, in many cases we are able to fix the issue there and then, mitigating the risk and allowing safety certification to be issued at that time, saving you precious business time.
As working at height specialists we will be provide you with remedial action directions, including what (if any) equipment requires in-depth inspection, a schedule for those inspections where required via your FREE site survey report.
